 Fire Sprinkler System Courses

Are you NICET Certified?   NICET Certification is a widely accepted, cross industry recognized certification in professional competency.   It has become a requirement in many states for those involved in fire sprinkler system design—and more states adopt the requirement every day!

NICET Certification is a very valuable certification, but is also a very difficult certification to attain.  Even fire sprinkler experts with years of experience in the fire sprinkler industry struggle to achieve their certification goals.    NTC's NICET Fire Sprinkler Design training is designed to make the certification and examination process simpler and easier.

NTC's NICET Fire Sprinkler Design Course is intended for the sprinkler professional.  This course covers certification procedures and requirements, testing strategies, NFPA 13, and other suggested references for the NICET exam.  Additionally students will learn system design requirements and the specific subjects for certification testing.

This is a practical applications based training course.  The information covered in this training directly applies to everyday work in the industry.  This course provides students with in depth information on code compliance and proven standard practices for the industry.  Those who attend this training will be better prepared to meet the professional challenges of the fire sprinkler industry.

Students will receive a copy of NFPA 13 (Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems, 2007) and a copy of Layout, Detail, and Calculation of Fire Sprinkler Systems.  These reference books are critical to the NICET test preparation process and make the testing process much easier, allowing the student to achieve his certification goals faster.

 Train The Troops

.

"Train The Troops" program is a free program offered to recently discharged military service personnel to train them for careers in the low voltage industry.

The inception of  ‘Train The Troops'  began with the objective to express appreciation to US troops that risk their lives every day for Americans, to protect our way of life. Charles Aulner, a previous military service member and CEO of National Training Center (NTC), explains, "NTC is dedicated to providing the low voltage industry with the very best in training and is committed to empowering individuals and companies to succeed.  Many returning service members are discharged within two months of returning from the battlefield.  This does not provide them with much time to find work in the civilian sector.  We wanted to give back to the US troops that risk their lives in order to protect the American way of life.  I thought, what better way to give back to our troops than do what we are good at, and give the very best low voltage training to the US troops; at the same time provide the industry with well trained and qualified individuals! We recognized a need on both sides for this program.  The low voltage industry is growing, and most companies are constantly on the lookout for quality entry-level employees.   NTC developed ‘Train The Troops' to help bring these two sides together."

National Training Center (NTC) will conduct training for this program at no charge to the service members.   In total for 2008, NTC is contributing $294,000 in training and materials to ‘Train the Troops'.
